PERA Club Campout - Nov 8-9th

Location: SRP PERA Club Saturday 1 E. Continental Drive, Tempe. Ramada 2 and 3 (see map)

DateNovember 8th-9th

Time: Arrive at 2pm to pitch your tent with your den on the grassy field. Gates to the park close at 11:30pm Saturday night.

Details:

  • Fun Field activities start at 3pm
  • We will be collecting Wreath order forms from 3-6, find Becky.
  • Dinner provided by the Kitchen Crew (only bring food if you have dietary restrictions). See menu below.
    • Families will select their items for our holiday Adopt-a-Family
  • Awards Ceremony and night-time flag ceremony (by Web II's) following dinner.
  • Night hike planned to see the stars before S’mores around the camp fire!
  • Breakfast provided Sunday (see menu below).
  • Optional Den Activities 9:00-10:00.
  • Take down and clean up (leave no trace) at 10:0am-11:00am Sunday

What to bring:

Bring Class A & Class B uniforms,  Boys can wear Class B for most of the campout, but must have Class A for ceremonies.

Bring your plates, cups and silverware, we are not providing paper/Styrofoam products in an effort to be “green” reuse and recycle by bringing your own and washing your own dinnerware.  See attachment for recommended items to bring for this in-town event.  Please adapt how you see fit. 

What not to bring

  • No Pets
  • No alcohol
  • No weapons
  • No Soda or Sugary drinks
  • Amenities (The camp has flushing toilets, covered picnic ramadas, and drinking fountains)

Directions to Pera Club

From McDowell and 68th Street, head south to Continental (by Supai Middle School) and head west... where it looks like the road dead ends, keep going into the Pera Club.  There may be a guard, just tell him/her that you are here with cub scouts.

Contact your Den leader with any questions.  Be sure to let them know if you will not be attending, otherwise we will assume everyone will be there! :)

  • BBQ Pork Ribs (Not Boneless)
  • BBQ Chicken
  • Grilled Vegetables
  • Salad
  • Fruit

    Breakfast:

    • Eggs
    • Sausage (McDonalds)
    • Hash Browns
    • Continental Breakfast items – including bagels
